SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain integrated systems within our steel mill and rolling mill operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination between mechanical, electrical, automation, and process control systems to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and system reliability. This role involves analyzing system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing process automation and digitalization solutions to drive continuous improvement

What we are looking for:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

  • Design, develop, and optimize control and automation systems for steelmaking and rolling mill processes.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation, process control, and mechanical-electrical integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and IT, to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain SCADA, PLC, and HMI systems for process monitoring and control.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Utilize data analytics, machine learning, and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance operational decision-making.
  • Develop and document system architecture, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Systems Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Experience in steel manufacturing and rolling mill operations, with a focus on automation and process control systems.
    • Experience with electrical schematics, panel design, and industrial networking.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical-electrical-automation integration challenges.
    • Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in industrial automation.
