SUMMARY:

This position involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and optimize production. The Maintenance Employee will work closely with production teams to identify and resolve issues, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and ensure that all safety and regulatory standards are followed. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and technical background, with the ability to quickly assess and fix issues in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.

What we are looking for: 

Someone who can set their own pace, work in a team environment, and build productive relationships by solving problems. Experience in manufacturing or steel industry is a plus, but we are willing to train someone with relatable skills. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to reduce downtime.

· Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.

· Complete preventive maintenance tasks and adjust equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and production output.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and labor hours.

· Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve operational issues affecting production.

· Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or upgrades to existing machinery.

· Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.

· Respond to emergency repair requests in a timely manner to minimize production interruptions.

· Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.

· Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and technology.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma preferred, and related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and be willing and able to operate a motor vehicle and pass a company drug screen.
