SUMMARY:

Mid American Steel & Wire is a leading steel company specializing in the production of rod and steel billets. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Heavy Machinery Mechanic to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Additional Duties as assigned by the corporate management team

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

·  Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on heavy machinery and equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, cranes, loaders, etc.

·  Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment.

·  Repair and replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

·  Conduct system tests and identify potential issues before they cause equipment breakdowns.

·  Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.

·  Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

·  Collaborate with team members to ensure equipment is ready for operation as scheduled.

·  Respond to emergency breakdowns and service calls in a timely manner.

·  Assist with the ordering of replacement parts and maintaining an inventory of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.

·         Proven experience as a heavy machinery mechanic or in a similar role.

·         Proficiency with hand and power tools.

·         Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·         Good communication and teamwork abilities.
