A Drawing Helper assists the wire drawing operator in producing spools and carriers of drawn wire and records number and type of wire produced in a shift. Below are some daily functions of a Drawing Helper. 

• Operate machinery used in the production process.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and department foreman or other supervisors.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
• Document daily production and turn in to dept foreman.
• Mark or tag identification on product accurately.
• Utilize forklift to move materials as needed.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Clean, lubricate and maintain equipment.
