SUMMARY:

An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment in industrial settings such as factories, manufacturing plants, and production facilities. They troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure that all equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This role requires knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and welding, as well as the ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Additional Duties as assigned by the corporate management team

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Preventive Maintenance – Perform regular inspections and scheduled maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repairs – Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and make necessary repairs.
  3. Equipment Installation – Install, assemble, and test new machines and production equipment.
  4. Welding and Fabrication – Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication to repair or modify equipment as needed.
  5. Parts Replacement – Replace defective or worn-out parts such as bearings, belts, motors, and pumps.
  6. Reading Blueprints and Schematics – Interpret technical diagrams and manuals to understand machine components and functions.
  7. Lubrication and Calibration – Apply lubricants and calibrate machinery to ensure smooth operation and accuracy.
  8. Electrical Work – Assist with wiring, motor controls, and troubleshooting electrical issues in coordination with electricians.
  9. Record Keeping – Maintain detailed logs of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used.
  10. Safety Compliance – Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  11. Collaboration with Teams – Work with engineers, production staff, and other mechanics to improve machine performance and minimize downtime.
  12. Facility Maintenance – Assist in maintaining facility infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, and lighting systems when necessary


    Qualifications:

    ·         High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.

    ·         Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.

    ·         Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.

    ·         Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

    ·         Proficiency with hand and power tools.

    ·         Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    ·         Good communication and teamwork abilities.
